The Krone RoundPack is the first choice of many contractors all over the country.  Unlike many other balers on the market, the Krone is very easy to drive with 100hp ample in all conditions.  The 17-knife rotary cutting mechanism produces an exceptionally consistent chop throughout the bale while the 6ft pickup with 5-tine bars revels in even the biggest and lumpiest swaths.

The Krone CombiPack produces the same bale but wraps it also in one operation at the rate of up to 45 bales per hour.  The CombiPack has bigger wheels and is 1 ton lighter than its nearest competitor, which makes it perfect for the inevitable wet season.  With its own hydraulic drive system independent of the tractor, the CombiPack can be put onto any tractor of 110hp for great performance in any conditions.

Krone, with over 70 Big M’s operating in Ireland, can fairly claim to be market leaders in mowers.  The EasyCut range of trailed mowers features the same cutterbars, conditioners and other components as on the self-propelled units.  A particular advantage of Krone mowers is the exceptionally clean cutting finish and the full-width conditioners mean you get a very even, lump-free swath, as wide as you need for optimum wilting.  The EasyCut comes in 2 sizes – 9ft and 10ft8in (a safe and legal 3m on the road) with the bigger unit having a grouper option.

Krone wagons have been selling in Northern Ireland for 30 years and have established a terrific reputation for performance and build quality.  Burkes will be showing the 7 ton Titan 6/40L wagon which is designed for farmer use on tractors of 85hp and up.

“This is definitely the best wagon in its class on the market and has been for many years.  Is it that good?  Well, just try to buy one second-hand – as soon as they come up for sale they’re snapped up!” according to Farmhand Northern Sales Manager, David Osborne.  Krone have also been very successful in recent years with their heavy-duty contractor models, the 10-ton Titan R50GL being a particular hit with operators wanting a very high-spec model but with a modest 120hp power requirement.
