LONGTOWN SHEEP SALE

The Cumberland and Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart P.L.C. had forward a nice entry of store & breeding sheep, for the time of year, at their weekly sale held at Longtown on Tuesday 29th June, 2004.
Buyers were still keen to purchase and as a result all classes proved good to sell. Top of £57 each for Greyface hoggs with singles from Patties Hill, others £54 and £53 Bayles who also sold Greyface hoggs with twins at £45 each. Swaledale ewes with singles to £26.50 each Meadow View, Blackface ewes with singles £25.80 each Englishtown
