LONGTOWN STORE CATTLE SALE
TUESDAY JULY 14 2004
The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers' Mart P.L.C. had
forward 283 store cattle at their fortnightly sale on Tuesday 13th July 2004.
Another good show for numbers but overall quality sorts were short of
requirements with first class heifers dearest of the season. Top was £615 for
Charolais bullock (green CID) and Angus bullocks (blue CID) both from Bidlake
Farm.
The smaller show of 41 beef breeding cattle were still in demand selling to
£1050 for a Limousin cow with twin calves from Whitehouse.
