LONGTOWN STORE SHEEP SALE TUESDAY JULY 14 2004 At their special sale of breeding sheep at Longtown on Tuesday 13th July, the Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart had forward several pens of ewes and lambs. With a good company of buyers present all classes again proved good to sell. Top was £62 each for Greyface hoggs with singles from The Bayles. Suffolk x ewe (1 & 2 crop) with twins to £48 each Windyknowe and with singles to £37 each Tongland. Hill Cheviot ewe and single to £22 each The Bayles. Blackface ewe and single £29 each Tongland. Blackface ewe and twins £22 each Tongland.
