Prime cattle were a poorer show for quality and with more heavyweights forward averages were down by 3p on the week. Top price of 124.5p paid by Rose County Foods Ltd for a Limousin bullock from J.C. & D. Nicholson, The Gill, others to 122.5p Houghton House to Woodhead Bros., 120.5p Faulding Cleugh, 119.4p Houghton House and Faulding Cleugh, 118.5p Hallburn and Nether Onsett, 117.5p Dashwellgreen. Blonde d’Aquitaine bullocks to 120.5p The Gill to Rose County Foods; Belgian Blue 119.5p Hallburn to G. Moor. Limousin heifers from J. & N. Blaylock & Son, Hallburn sold to 119.5p and 118.5p to Woodhead Bros., and Border Meats, 116.5p Dashwellgreen. Spring lambs met a fast selling trade, levelling at 150.3p or £63.51 per head.
