HORTICULTURE FOCUS - SPEAKERS ANNOUNCED
Sir Don Curry, Chairman of the Policy Commission on the Future of Farming and Food, will give the keynote address at the Horticulture in Focus 2004 conference in London in February.
Horticulture in Focus is organised by the NFU and Highbury Nexus Horticulture. The event will also include a debate on the changing marketplace for fresh produce and ornamentals, chaired by the chairman of the NFU Board for Horticulture, Graham Ward.
The one-day event, which includes the premier Grower of the Year awards, will be held on Thursday 26 February at the Royal Lancaster hotel.
Graham Ward said: "Following the success of last year's event, the NFU is pleased to confirm details for 2004.
"In organising this event, the priority has been to attract top speakers dealing with issues affecting all growers and all those involved in the marketing and distribution of fresh produce and ornamentals.
"It is the one day in the year that everyone connected with horticulture cannot afford to miss."
